Professor Emeritus Stuart R. Cohn has taught and lectured throughout the world, both as a member of the University of Florida Faculty of Law and as a Senior Fellow of the United Nations Institute for Research and Development. His numerous publications on issues of corporate governance and securities regulation have appeared in leading journals. Professor Cohn is no stranger to Poland. While Associate Dean for International Studies at the University of Florida law school, he actively taught in and assisted the Center for American Studies at the Warsaw University Faculty of Law for nearly 20 years. He is a member of the Executive Council of The Florida Bar Business Law Section and is currently leading two task forces involved in the analyses and reform of corporate and securities laws. Professor Cohn received his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois, and law degrees from Oxford University and Yale Law School. He was a partner in a law firm in Chicago, Illinois prior to entering the academic world. He is married with three children. His paternal grandparents were married in Poland before emigrating to the United States.
