Marek Grzybowski

Professor at Warsaw University, Marek Grzybowski PhD – vice dean for financial affairs of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw; attorney-at-law and, since 1983, member of the Warsaw Bar Association of Attorneys-at-Law; 1995 – 1999, member of the Board of Directors of the Bank Guarantee Fund; elected President of the Board of Directors of the Bank Guarantee Fund for the term of 1999 – 2003; in the 1990s, commissioned to draft and coordinate the consultation works on the Bank Guarantee Fund Law and the Foreign Exchange Law as part of an effort to bring Polish legislation in line with EU and International Monetary Fund standards; legislative consultant on the passage of key financial law acts and amendments since Poland’s admission into the EU; awarded the Golden Cross of Merit for services to the Polish banking system in 2005; in 2014, elected member of the Board of the European Law Faculties Association (ELFA), president of ELFA April 2019 – April 2022; author and co-author of numerous academic publications: monograph studies, commentaries to the Bank Guarantee Fund Law, professional journal articles, and judicial interpretations; since 1997, editor-in-chief of “GLOSA” – law journal published by Wolters Kluwer; member of the editorial board of The European Journal of Legal Education, published by the European Law Faculties Association since 2019; lecturer and researcher in banking and financial law at the University of Warsaw since 1977.
